Waiting to Exhale

Filed under: Uncategorized —— myownprivateserendipity @ 4:12 am

This is not good. I find myself the object of some VERY unwanted attention. And it’s starting to get on my nerves. I’m a peace-loving person in general, but the claws sometimes do unsheath themselves when I get in some very sticky situations. And trust me, that doesn’t happen very often. Okay, deep breaths. I know this will burn out, eventually. I hope I still have that restraint on myself, when it does.

Ang Bagong OPM

Filed under: Uncategorized —— myownprivateserendipity @ 1:49 am

All of you music lovers out there are surely aware of the new wave of Pinoy bands making it big. I’m really proud that most of the top songs on local radio are mostly our own. I just wanted to share a few of my fave songs right now from Pinoy bands.

Chords & lyrics from www.ultimate-guitar.com

Intro: C- Dsus- Em-G

nauubusan na ng sasabihin sa iyo..
nanlalamig na ba ang pag-ibig mo sa ‘kin..

Verse 2: C- Dsus- Em-G
nalilito ako, nais kong sagipin ang ating
nalulunod na pag-ibig

kung ito ang ‘yong hiling
gaano man kasakit sa akin
ibibgay sa yo
ang tanging pakiusap lang
wag mo akong kalimutan..

kay rami nang nagdaan
na pagsubok sa ting pag-ibig
kakayanin pa kayang mabawi pa

A Light Goes Out…

   Images

" …Sheryl, Debbie passed away na…" 5 written words in my cellphone inbox that seemed to shout at me through the screen. It’s impossible to fathom how a person whom I last saw only a few months ago would be the same person referred to by this text message. It really does take experiences such as this to force you out of your comfort zone and contemplate on the meaning of life …the things that are REALLY supposed to matter.

She was my batchmate in college, a petite, vibrant, beautiful soul. She was the epitome of "no mean bone whatsoever" in her body . She was supposed to graduate ahead of us but because of a few academic glitches, she graduated a bit late. The mere fact that she did not have any problem making friends with us, a batch lower than hers, is a testament to her great personality. She was a light to many of her friends. And now that light has been snuffed out.

It reminds you how fragile life really is, how our time is only borrowed and can  run out at anytime. It makes our pettiness, the bitching about insignificant things, annoyance at anything and anyone…they are all time wasted on nothing. So whenever you feel like complaining about your life, stop. And think. Be grateful that you are alive, and have a life to complain about. Always count your blessings.

To Debbie, you will be missed.
